Carrick-On-Shannon Golf is one of the most scenic, relaxing yet challenging golf courses in the North-West of Ireland.

As scenery goes it doesn’t get much better than this. Running parallel to the River Shannon – the longest river in Ireland – with breath-taking views of cruisers floating by, watching that all important putt on the par three 8th that just lures you in to a false sense of confidence. And if the water wasn’t enough, the green is protected by two guarding bunkers at the front. There will be contests on the course and some terrific silent auction items.

Lough Rynn Castle, a luxurious castle hotel in County Leitrim, Ireland, boasts a rich history spanning centuries. It was initially built on the ancestral lands of the Mac Raghnaill family, rulers of Muintir Eolais before the English conquest. The current castle, a Victorian manor, stands on the site of an older medieval castle. The Clements family, including Lord Leitrim, later owned the estate, and it was eventually transformed into a hotel by the Hanly family.

Walk the beautiful walled gardens and enjoy tea at the hotel.
